Outdoor gear (1)

Sto pensando di ampliare migliorare ed ottimizzare la mia attrezzatura da outdoor, integrando materiale mancante (da arrampicata, ad esempio, tenda monoposto ultra light e altra roba varia) e modificando parte del materiale che già ho, anche magari rivendendo quello che sta nell’armadio, al fine di avere pronta dell’attrezzatura per escursioni su più giorni di vario genere in previsione, in teoria, per l’anno che è appena iniziato. Non di secondo piano la soddisfazione di varie scimmie montate nel tempo che stanno lamentando il bisogno di esser soddisfatte.
Essendo io un drogato di zaini – maledizione, accidenti a me! – e di roba “buona” dal costo non indifferente, sto cominciando a puntare già da adesso, ancor prima di avere i soldi, vari oggetti.

I built this kit with the purpose to carry some of the stuff I love to have with my while hiking. It’s meant to be an Esbit burner and carry all the stuff I might need while using it. Nothing too complex and definitely nothing complete, as it’s not and EDC or emergency kit, but it’s meant to work with a backpack (at least a small one) with all the things that are supposed to be in there. I wrote down this review to share it with whoever would like to read it and for me, to remember what I have inside it at the moment

Irregolari Map Course

Primo post in italiano del blog. Mi fa quasi strano onestamente, dopo non so nemmeno quanto tempo che esiste, scriverci un post nella mia lingua madre.

Comunque sia, argomento del post: il mio club di softair, o airsoft che è meglio. Più nel dettaglio la preparazione dei soci, per quanto riguarda vari aspetti. Ancora più nel dettaglio, come si può magari evincere dal titolo – che non è in italiano! woah! – l’argomento è la preparazione cartografica, la navigazione con carta e bussola, note varie sul gps e la pianificazione delle uscite.

I was looking on the dashboard – I think it’s how wordpress call it in English. I got mine in Italian so.. it’s called bacheca here, anyway – about the most searched words, I think used to get here from you guys.. there are just a few words, but they are all about EDC Kit and mostly about EAGLE RHODESIAN RECON VEST, or RRV or MJK [nooo..! what are you thinking? I'm NOT writing these word down to increase visit counter. lol]. I checked out an article posted long time ago about my RRV loadout and I wrote down there that I was going to post a picture of it. Obviously I didn’t. I haven’t used it a lot during this times, because I almost always choose the Universal Chest Rig, by Eagle Ind. Lighter, more comfortable and with the right amount of space to carry just what I need to: ammo and radio. everything else goes in the backpack (Camelbak HAWG) or in the first line, with my sidearm end some other stuff.

Still Alive… yeeeeeeee!

Yeeeee I’m still alive. I think. sometimes I do remember that I have this little spot in the vastness of the world wide web. I just don’t think that I have a lot to say, so important that I cannot spam it on Facebook or, if it is a little more serious, on Google+. I’m still doing nothing in my life, actually, but it seems that I don’t have a lot of time to think about something at least a little bit interesting to post in here to do so. Anyway I got back home, got my 50mm lenses fixed for free from NITAL warranty – did I say before that it was broken? well I did it now. it was the focus… ferrule, says Google translate – begun studying French (just got my third lesson this Tuesday), met some interesting people (girls too. yeeee!)  and some old friends.

I actually thought that I will stop writing this pages in English only – I think I already said that – using my own language (Italian) and the new one I’m trying to studying (French) just to make some practice. I will continue to use English for the main arguments, even if I post stuff with no frequency, buy I’ll use Italian for some stuff, like airsoft or Italy-dedicated stuff and French just when I’m in the right mood  and when I’ll be capable of doing it.

There’s no place like home…?

You may say that. You may think that. Well… fuck off. It’s a lie. I spent the last month away from home, in southern Italy, exploring, diving, eating and doing a lot of stuff. I met people and spent a great time. While coming back home I stopped for a meeting with some friend and we definitely made a great weekend. We even built a trebuchet. I mean… ehy! a working trebuchet! With anything than scrap materials and no instruments other than a few meters of rope. It WORKED! We shot a lime in orbit or something like that.

Time

I really need some. You know when people say that you find out how much things are important to you only when you lose them? Well… They’re right, goddammit. I got no more time just for myself, with this work, that I can’t even go looking for a couple of books. Not that I would have time to read them, of course, but… Hell! I almost have no time to complain too..!

I like the work, I really do. It’s what I’ve studied for, a I said before, so… But I found out that I really need some time for myself and the things that I put apart for the time when I would have got the money… For the moment I’m out of money too, till the end of the month, but with this work I’ll be out of time for a looooong time..
I just have to find out what to do and what kind of work look for.

Oh, yeah… And I need a 500mm at least 1.8, a wide angle like a 14 or the 12-24 and a nice macro.. 100, 135mm maybe.

And I was thinking about setting up a new blog with wordpress, to be used as portfolio for my works. I have a flickr account but I upload there almost everything, so it can’t work. I’ll see through in the future.

The second day

I like the rain. I really do. I’ve found out, however, that I like it definitely less while I’m supposed to be working in a construction yard and it prevents me to do it and makes a lot of fresh slimy mud exactly where I have to go. Damn.

And here we are, it seems. With the new camera came the first day of work. Real work I mean, with a contract ’till the end of the year, paycheck every month and so on.. I don’t know how to explain this new work in english, actually, so I won’t even try for the moment. I’ll do it in the future, eventually, but I don’t think it will be soon. Anyway it has to do with what I have studied for, it should be something I like and I should get paid, so it sounds quite good enough for me. Now that I think about it, I should be maybe capable of explain it, if I weren’t awake from something like 1 AM and away from home from 6.40 and just got back. I don’t know even what I’m writing and how, exactly, so I think I’ll stop and look out for my bed. I could check a couple of photo I made while I was coming back home, but… I have to be there at 0730 tomorrow morning, so… anyway check my flickr account. I think I’ve uploaded something yesterday or on Saturday, maybe.
